Camera select/centering
« on: May 05, 2006, 09:20:05 AM »

I've written a macro to center all the cameras (7) in my home. The "Center Camera" command (Video Functions) will not work unless I preceed it with "Select Camera". Is this normal? (Since the "Center Camera" command requires you to select a specific camera, it seems redundant and a time waster for execution.)

Select camera turns on the appropriate camera. The "center camera" command has a camera selector on it to make sure that AHP sends the code with the right address on it.

Thank you X-10. But does your answer mean that I must use the two commands or, since the center command has a select to make sure it has the right code, should I be able to get away with just this one?

Sorry, as it stands now you need to use both commands.

x10:    From what I can tell, when a select camera is used, it turns off other codes (camera or not) in groupls of four.

Ex:  One camera (defined as a ninja) K16
     Macro=K1 defined as follows:
        K16-go to Preset 1

This macro turns off anything with a code of K14.

Would you please further define these interactions?
