I want to know if there is any other software out there for the cm11a interface. active home is great and all, but i need something more flexible. such as a text based software, or one with more features and module options. 8)

Nope.  Active Pro is the only software available for the cm11a. .  If you happen to have a working CP290 lying around, try X-10 Windows Control. It (http://www3.sympatico.ca/dave.huras/x10wc.htm) is shareware and works great.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

There are lots of other software options for the cm11a and a few for the cm15a HomeDomination will work with the cm11a and the cm15a  MRHouse will work with both
Homeseer work with lots of interfaces but not the cm15a many cm11a users use this. There are many more depending on which operating system your using. :) ;)
Want more do a search on google or yahoo! ;) :D

May be wrong, but I believe homeseer now has an activeX plugin for cm15a.
Also, there's the HAL series. They are probably the best customer support I've ever gotten on any product of any kind. Not just home automation. I mean anything. They also have speech recognition built in. Check them out at automatedliving.com

Hey you maybe right! ;) I was told a pluging would probly be made by one of there users before HomeSeer could be used with the CM15A but they wouldn't directly support the CM15A untill the SDK was changed to a "True SDK". ::) ::)
