Crossed wires ??
« on: June 16, 2006, 09:03:27 AM »

Hello, I have multi X-10 control boxes in my house and sometimes one box wont control another side of the house. This is a small ranch house so its not like they have to work 10 rooms over.  Why? Why? Why?     Could this be that wires are crossed somewhere as in neutral and cold changing sides ?  ??? ???

Sounds like a phase or signal problem. You might want to do search of the forum for suggestions.

I moved this to Help & Troubleshooting as it belongs there.

I would also suggest that Birdsonly  repost with more specific information, mainly has control program or other controllers.

It sounds like a phase problem to me. but more onformation is needed for better help.

More details as suggested would help.
Also signals can be masked by noise on the power line as with phase coupling as mentioned.
