Rain 8 Sprinkler Control
« on: June 25, 2006, 10:54:51 AM »

I am running AHP with a Rain 8 Sprinkler controller.
My remote works just fine controlling the Rain 8.
I have not been successful in controlling it with AHP.
I have tried a couple of Light controllers, but to no avail.
Does anybody know what to use to control it.
I look at the activity monitor and it looks the same if I use the remote, or AHP.

Thanks for your help.

There are several different models of the Rain8.  Some respond to X10 power line signals while others are designed to respond to X10 RF commands.

If yours is the RF variety, you can use the module for the VCR Commander in ActiveHome Pro to manually turn On (Record) or Off each zone.  Or you can create a macro with a sequence of RF On/Off and Delays for a timed lawn watering schedule.

If your is the power line Rain8 model, use an AM486 Applince Module in ActiveHome Pro to represent each zone.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
