Vanguard: Need one USB converter for each camera???
« on: August 27, 2006, 06:07:02 PM »

I am trying to hook up 1 wired and 1 wireless camera to my computer (and to the Vangaurd software). I have the wired camera plugged in to the USB converter. Do I actually need to by another USB converter to get the wireless camera connected, or am I missing something?

That's tricky...

I think what you need is a Quad Processor or Switcher. I don't think you can select the Va11a you want to see. I would recommend you get a quad processor.

bakerb   You can't use two VA11As one one PC
the way to hook things up is:
  • Get an appliance module for your wired cam If the power supply doesn't have x10 controls
  • Get a Y adaptor for your VA11A
  • Plug the video receiver and the wired cam into the dual end of the adaptor and the VA11A into the single end
