« on: August 29, 2006, 01:33:22 AM »

I'm having trouble with one of my 465 module( the dimmable lamp one). when it is left on too long it stops working with the remote
also my hr12a doesnt work all the time
and none of my screw in lamp modules seem to ever work

anyone else have a solution to these problems or do I just throw it all out and get a better system that I dont have to keep changing batteries every day

I it works part of the time you may want to look at what else might be plugged in and blocking the signal. My wife just got a laptop and I found that my working system upstairs total stops working when she plugs it in upstairs to charge it. If I pull her plug everything works again. I gave her a filter to use so no matter where she plugs it in its filtered.

Check around the house and see if a power supply or something electronic is getting plugged in from time to time. We also have a Game cube that does the same thing when it gets plugged in it kills some X10 modules. This is just a start.

Please give us some more detail and I'm sure we will get you up and running.

The 465 lamp unit may be bad and shutting down when its internal electronics heats up. If you have another 465 swap it out with the other and see if the problem stays with that unit.
