Hi,
Is there a way to control LED cristmas
lights?
I have tried lamp, appliance and the
receptical modules with no luck.
They all leave part of the string on dimmly
in the off position.
Thanks
Marv

I have the same problem. There is another thread which discusses using Applicance Modules instead, but I had no luck even with the suggestion to disable the "Current Sensor" diode. The LED string still stays on dimly when it's supposed to be "off".

The Sensing Current components are not completely gone when the Diode and Jumper are cut in an Appliance Module. There are still a few resistors in the circuit, that maybe why they still glow. Have you tried the old small 4 watt Night Light on the modules output with the LED Lights?

Per Brian, the night light usually works. Also, Socket Rockets have no sense circuit and are the only X10 modules I have to found to work with LED lights. Obviously their configuration makes them difficult to use.

Thanks Dave. Yes my low wattage LED bulbs do work fine in a Socket Rocket.

Great forum! Lots of info. I was having trouble with indoor LED Christmas lights staying dimly lit. The Socket Rocket trick worked great. A little finagling/adapting to go from cord to socket to cord, but the key it worked. :)% Thanks all, Rick
