Hi Frankgar,

You can go to the X-10 website and then software download page.  At the top of this page is a link for replacement software.  You will need your e-mail address used to purchase as well as your original order number to gain access to updated software.

i have the same email address, but the original order number is long gone, is there away around this problem?

frankgar

also i need the full link to the replacement software download

If you do not have your order number, you will have to either call or e-mail X-10 directly.  They should be about to pull up your history of purchases and e-mail you the link.

From the "hindsight is 20/20" department...

It's a good idea to save the email that X10 sends you with the link. Each time I've moved my setup to a new computer (twice now) I've been able to just lookup the email and use the link. This of course is easier to do if you use a web based email that will let you store an unlimited amount of email such as Yahoo.
BVC let's me tell my camera where to go!
:) Murphy is my beta testing pal. He helps me find problems whether I like it or not. :)

As a PC service professional I must tell you that if you have no real requirement for going to Vista, Dont.
Long live X10! - Because I just like it is all.....

As a everyday user of many PC in my house, I say if you have the computer Power (Duo prosessor, 2gb memory++)  then Vista is ALOT better than XP !
Go for it !!

going to Vista

1. my XP PC had a major harddrive crash all my saved emails went with it

2. had no choice, only option with new machine was vista, and to tell the truth, it is not so bad
