I saw that earlier. I haven't had hands-on with Windows 10 IoT Core but it would appear that, while RPi3 does not run Windows 10 per se, it does give developers tools to create GUIs for IoT applications. That should make it possible to build dedicated apps that will integrate X10 with other SmartHome devices.
It does, however, seem that the hardware is capable of running Windows 10 and it's only MS dragging their feet that prevents that. And, since they are targeting IoT, I think it just a matter of time before they are
onboard.
BTW, Element14 did not indicate the RPi3 was out-of-stock when I placed my order but all I received was the Noobs SD with the packing slip indicating the RPi3 was backordered. I'm going to be upset if it isn't the latest version with the IoT core.
