HELP: Constant Receiving of House Code
« on: May 16, 2012, 01:53:36 AM »

AHP Activity Monitor reports that I am receiving "E3" repeatedly. I don't have an E3 on my system. It will not stop. I have disconnected all controllers and modules to no avail. If I reboot the PC it starts up again. My entire system is being flooded with these E3's. There is no "ON" or "OFF" just "RECEIVED E3"...

Please help! Any ideas?

The E3s are power line received and not received RF E3?

The power company didn't just give you a real nice and shiny new Smart Meter did they?

Any new electronic devices added to the home around the sametime the E3s started?

You may wan to try some troubleshooting things like disconnecting devices.

How about an X10 coupler repeater?
If you do have one. See if turning it Off changes anything.
I do remember some reports of couple repeaters getting into a firestorm of signals.
I also have a TM751 transceiver that liked to send a firestorm of power line signals when warm.

Yes we have a coupler but it is installed inside of our power box. . The random signals stopped after about 30 minutes. Then there were about 6 extended codes. Now everything seems to be running normal.
