motion sensor upside down ?
« on: February 20, 2006, 12:50:13 AM »

Has anyone tried attaching to a wall a
motion sensor (like the x10's ms10a) upside
down?  Does that change the range or
detection configuration?  Thanks.

I've heard of mounting them on the ceiling pointing down to monitor just a door way opening! ;)
But why would one want to mount it upside down? ??? It shouldn't change the range but might change its view angle and I know it won't change the settings ;)

My porch sensor points straight down. I never have any false detections. Only triggers when you're right under it. Best position I've ever found for it.
