Recorded Picture Quality

When just viewing my camera I can see everything just fine, faces, viehicles and even animals. When previewing a recorded portion the quality is no good, the picture is extremely blury and hard recognize. Can this be fixed? I have increased the quality of the video, I have changed the resolution. Is there anyway to increase the limted quality of 640X480?
