I'm looking to start with a device/module that simply turns a 110V device off X minutes after you've turned it on.
Is there such an x10 device?
thanks

The SmartHome
2476ST
is an X10 wall switch with a built in timer. Alternately you could create a macro which responds to the same address as the module and turns it off the specified amount of time later. If the the module is turned on locally or via all-lights-on, this macro will not be triggered (unless it is a 2-way module).
