CUSTOMER SERVICE POOOOOR

Hi ALL, I was a happy customer,untill my
$500 USD, Vanguard camera stopped working ,A
few months after my warranty expired I asked
x10 to fix,help or get me parts,I was
willing to pay.Thay can not help me thay
said,After 3 emails and one phone call a
week later I get the old sorry nothing we
can do.How can you sell a $500 usd camera
and not have any service to fix anything
thay sell.I did not have the option to buy a
2 yr warranty either.So in conclusion BUYER
BEWARE on these expensive CHEAP cameras.The
price is right but you don't get what you
pay for.A friend of mine told me he had the
same problem and thay replaced camera for a
small fee.I was told this can not happen
from x10.Last time I will purchase their
products and will let anyone else know it is
JUNK MADE IN CHINA!

I agreed with you !....I experience the same
problem:
I used the online chat with X-10 suport to
ask them a simple question, all I got was a
link got nothing to do with my question and
got disconnected.
I called tech support and spoke to a lady
who refused to give her name, what I got
from her is "we don't support" on every
questions I asked her and put me on hold,
then hung up on me.
I e-mailed to tech support and sales, got
nothing back from them.
x-10 has a very BAD customer service in any
way.....I think, your $500 is just a wasted.

Has anyone thought about having a charge
back issued? some credit card companies will
let you charge back up to several months if
you are getting junk that doesn't work

Hi ,I sent a letter apporximately 2 weeks
ago,and never got any replies,the letter is
as follows,

I have a problem with one of my cameras I
bought from you,Its a Vanguard camera,and I
live in canada where in wintertime it can
become cold.
Well my problem is,my Vanguard stopped
turning right and left,it still tilts up and
down but NO left and right.

I believe in the cold winter it was maybe
stiff or frozen,and therefore it broke a
piece inside the unit to turn it left and
right.The repair shop told me there is a
broken small plastic gear or sproket.

What I need is information on my options as
this is a $500.00 US camera and is now
useless for what I need it for.
I  have purchased over $3000 from your
company and sent many other people also you
way.I have continued to support X10 for
years,virtually trouble free.
Is there anyway I can order this broken
part,small plastic gear to repair this
problem.
Please help me I am in a bad situation,this
camera is one of the main security cams I
use.

This was original message I sent 3 times and
got no replies back.What kind of company
sells something that has no repair,service
or parts for products.

Oh yea the stupid tech guy i finally reached
on the phone tells me its not weatherproof,I
said well why do you show cameras outside
zooming on your ads? and he sais well its
outdoor camera but needs proper case,well no
where in any instructions or on and website
does it say or offer a case to put it in,1
excuse after the next.What am I supposed to
get a custom made heated camera box?
Pathetic customer service.When its under
warranty or you are paying $$$$$ that
answer,but when theres a issue you are
turned away! Thanks X10.Will be letting the
internet know about all this,sure it will
slow sales if their is othere opinions.

The small plastic gears inside are prone to break.

But, this does mean you have to take the camera apart to fix it.
