Motion Sensors, Socket Rockets, lamp modules
« on: June 21, 2010, 06:18:21 AM »

This doesn't relate to the actual X10 security system but it does related to security in general.  If I want light to come on when motion is sensed, all the equipment I need are motion sensors and socket rockets or lamp modules?  This won't interfere with my x10 security system if I put them on different house codes correct?

Thanks

No they will not interfere with the Security Console.

There is always the very slim chance a motion sensor would be sending an RF signal at the sametime a security module was checking in or a TM751 would step on another power line signal.

One thing you would need is a transceiver set to the different house code. To send the motion sensors commands back on the power line to the socket rocket. The Security Console only transceives the house code it is set to.
