X10Pro software may be worse than X10 PopUps
« on: April 11, 2005, 07:47:37 PM »

Why are X10 products advertised within the
X10Pro software? Can the advertising be
stripped?

Yes, product advertisement can be removed
through "Preferences".

Thanks Martin
I find that the X10 software still keeps
trying to access the internet. Is there a
similar option to prevent it from trying?

Hum, Internet access would probably be to
check for AHP updates. I believe, can't
check now, that this can be disabled as well.

Dan and Martin: There does not seem to be
any option to turn off X10Pro's attempts to
access the web. Yes, it can be "blocked" by
a firewall. But it still tries even if there
is no telephone or high speed connection
available.
