Halloween - Flashing Light Macro ?
« on: October 31, 2006, 02:06:45 PM »

I wanted to set up 3 or 4 light to to "spookily flicker" or close to it. I can set up the macro but can't seem to figure out how to get it to loop, or repeat in any way. Is there a way to do this that I am not seeing?  the repeat function in the timer is greyed out and I don't see anything in Smart Macros to accomplish this type of thing.

I know this is last minute but any help would be appreciated.

Create a DUMMY Module (e.g. An Appliance Switch) to the same Address as your MACRO.
If your MACRO is set to trigger from the ON state (e.g. B1 ON), then make the last step of the MACRO turn B1 ON again (i.e. Call Itself).

That worked, thanks very much. This would be good for that "lived in look" with lights going on and off in different areas at different times.

This turned out to be not so spooky but it was worth learning anyway.
