In a totally unanticipated move today, recent NEWBIE (first time poster) Puck - User #5949, in less than one month (Registered: 2006-10-07, 22:27:43), unceremoniously BUMPED (dear, valued, long time) "Old Geezer " dave w - User #616 off of the "Top 10 Most Time Online" list!

Yes folks - this "Youngster" is quickly making a name for himself - 133 Posts (4.586 per day) [Even your "Big Mouth" reporter here has only averaged (4.176 per day) since 2006-06-23, 00:44:18] , ] the majority of which are "Right on the Mark" , along with some interesting Spectrum Analyzer Shots.

Way to go Puck - User #5949 - Keep up the good work!  [Hard to believe that he maintains a high WAF with the amount of time he spends here. ]

Hopefully someone (besides me) will enjoy the humor and "Community Spirit" intentions of this "Unusual" post.

Good Work.  Puck is the man when it comes to helping out with the tough stuff.

I wonder what the WAF means?.  I've seen this but haven't figured it out yet.

By the way, Puck, I"m still embarressed about all my wasted time on an else clause problem that you answered so quickly.

WAF - Wife Approval Factor

I had high WAF from from the start... reason, at the start of the year I became a QUITTER; of the Non-Smoking variety. 

So home security & automation became my hobby to invest my time & cigarette money in as an incentive. So X-10 helped me quit smoking. Sounds like a good marketing pitch.*  [* statements in this post are copyrighted by Puck and cannot be used without his written permission.]   

Based on a pack a day, it took about 8 months to break even. 

But we all know how fickle WAF can be, and can't take it for granted.

I wonder what the WAF means?

Lights comming on in the middle of the night when they are not suppose to.
Lights not comming on when they are suppose to.
chimes sounding when no one is at the door.
Wife can't remember which button to press on the remote to turn the lights on

These all = low WAF

Not many things will raise this rating once it goes down so best to get things wright the first time and hope AHP does not goof up too often

What will really cause it to fall fast is when you spend $300 and then tell her you need to buy something else to make it work right.

It would make an amusing chart of how many of days without smoking it would take to buy each component.
e.g. How many smoke free days does it take to buy a phase coupler? ...a tester?  a motion detector?
