Need Help Programming SlimFire Remote #KR19A (keyfob)
« on: November 22, 2006, 05:02:24 PM »

Hi.  I recently purchased two slimfire remote controls.  I got one to work the first time but the second one I can't for some reason.  I'm using them to turn our outside lights on.  When I program the housecode on the "bad" one, it does turn the lights on(and it make my transceiver click) but when I go to program the unit code, it doesn't shut the lights off or turn them on anymore.  On my good remote it doesn't click the transceiver but works just fine.

I tried the old instructions and the revised ones that were sent to me.  The revised ones work on the good remote but neither will work on the bad one.  So what's wrong?  Thanks for any input.

Have you tried doing an Advanced Search for KR19A?

If so did you read Topic: If You Own a New or Old KR19A Slimfire Remote...  (Read 331 times) ? ;)

Spend some time reading other Users posts and try their suggestions it really is faster! ;) :D

Since you didn't give the House/Unit code you are using. I can say it is not unit #1 as the transceiver [TM751] only responds to unit 1. If it is a RR501 than 1 or 9.
Anyway sounds like the trouble unit is stuck on unit 1. Try the search as mentioned. Much good data there.
Also make sure the battery is fresh and making good contact in the remote.

Well I read those posts and I've tried both ways(which are the same as the instructions that came with the remotes) to program it and neither works.  The second one makes my transceiver click on and off.  Which it is the TM751, by the way.  My House/Unit code is N/12.  So not sure what it is.  Like I said my other remote works fine.  I even programmed it right the first time with the revised instructions but it don't make the transceiver click though. ???

Oh, I also have a CR12A remote that works on that House/Unit code with no problems.

Got it!  For some reason on this one, I had to program the house and the unit codes before I pushed the bottom off button.  Don't know why they made like that.  Now I have to remember that they are different.  :P
