Bad Downloadable AHP install file story.
« on: December 12, 2006, 02:46:34 PM »

I had problems with AHP locking up when I replaced my video card. I backed up my .ahx files, uninstalled it and redownloaded the install file from the orginal e-mail from X10 when I first bought it.

When I installed AHP again, it still locked up, so I  uninstalled it and then used the Registry Editor to delete any and all Active Home, Active Home Pro and X10 keys from Windows XP.

I installed AHP on a Viao Laptop running Windows ME using the file I had downloaded and it installed perfectly and ran perfectly using all my backed up .ahx files.

Today I redownloaded the install file and discovered that it was a different one, so I installed it on the desktop box - it installed 3.204 and worked perfectly!!!

Apparently the first downoad would not work on the desktop and would on the laptop, so somebody at X10 changed it.

Very strange.
