Using multiple cameras simultaneously
« on: January 26, 2007, 09:59:53 AM »

I want to monitor several rooms simultaneously (Viewing, controlling PTZ, etc.). I realize standard setup turns off the cameras not in use. Is it possible to defeat this standard mode by reprogramming the remotes?

I am using multiple receivers.

It is easy to have several cams transmitting at once you'll have to set each to a different channel located under a rubber stopper on the cam and the matching channel on the bottom of the receivers or your asking for problems(Of coarse you could always used wired cams!).
Set each to it's own house code as well then turn the code wheel on the remote to the house code you wish. I have seen small plastic knobs that will fit into these wheels, I think  ???Smarthomes sells them! ???
You'll need a quad viewer(hardware) to add four lines to one
If you don't like the X10 Software check Google for cam viewing software and a Multi viewer! ;) :D
Note: There are always more than one way to do things so this probably isn't the only or best way!
