Aleph beam & powerhorn?
« on: April 20, 2007, 07:03:10 PM »

I have a ALeph Photobeam sensor hooked up with a Powerflash....
I can get the powerflash to KEEP a light on but cannot get it to sound the powerHORN to sound unless something breaks the beam repeatedly.
Similar to pressing ON & OFF repeatedly on a remote.

I have tried different configurations of the Codes and even tried installing the powerhorn to a TM751....

Any ideas you brainacs?

You can't.
The Powerhorn is designed to only be triggered by a continuous cycle of on off signals sent on the House/Unit Code it is set to or All Lights On All Units Off on the House Code it is set to. All Lights Off also can be used with the All Lights On signal.

If your sensor keeps its output ON. Mode 2 sends a stream of on off signals; as long as the contacts are closed. In that case the Powerhorn may sound; but the lights on that code will also flash on and off. I use a Powerflasher in that mode to do signal tests by closing the contacts in Mode 2.
