Another bad thing they did was...

When they were trying to get into the
electronics shopping sectors of many
shopping comparison websites (ie froogle)
to promote their new electronics sections
and x10 stuff the managers actually decided
to take their reps and other employees away
from the phone for a few minutes each day
to post fictitous consumer comments about
x10 at these sites to make themselves look
better.

Result...many of the portals noticed the
discrepancy of reviews coming from the same
IP Pool and canned the bogus comments.

I am not surprised with the marketing
people resorting to insulting tactics.

What is unbelievable is that the Customer
Service <cough> people ignore all the
complaints their customers are making about
their rude treatment.

I think they want to go out of business.

Too bad their people are so pathetic
because the products are great.  I won't
buy any more either, until they grow up.

We know how you feel Marie.

I hope they go out of business ...

They're beyond ignorant.

People need to get their head out of their
butts. Fanatic:A person marked or motivated
by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as
for a cause. If you get upset about being
called a fanatic, then put the twinkies down
and look in the mirror. Say to myself, I
have no life and am an indiot! Life is too
short and full of other wonderful things.
People take things too serious today and sue
way too much. Grow up, will you. Yeah, the
company has issues, they have an odd
marketing approach and it seems like it is
working since you are here wasting your time
with this forum. You probably tell your
friends about it then they probably go look
at the site, guess what, you did what they
wanted. Think people or I will kick your dog!

As like another person wrote. You can go off
on me but this will be the last time I am in
this forum reading a bunch of whiny BS.

Their comprehension of the English language
is scary.  To call people fanatics knowing
they are not is not only insulting but it
is deliberately dishonest and even mean ...
as Marie said.

They are upsetting people who could no
doubt be referred to as "fans" - but to be
fanatical about any object would be
idolatry.

They are obviously being bomnarded with e-
mails asking them to show respect for their
customers - and potential customers - which
they ignore.

If anyone is "fanatical" it is X-10 in
their fanatical abuse of their customers.
Even if the terms they are using to insult
people is not meant to be an insult - the
fact that they now KNOW it is insulting,
and continue to intentionally hurt people
show how very little they care about people
in general.  Never mind their business ...
they are mean spirited, cruel people.

If you had a son named Frederick, and he
told you that he did not like the
name "Fred", but preferred "Frederick" ...
would you consider his feelings, or just
continue to refer to him as Fred?

Well, if you are a humane, thinking, caring
person you would consider this person.  Not
yell at him and tell him that there is
nothing insulting about the word "Fred".

That is the difference between caring and
insulting.

X-10 people should be ashamed of themselves
for their uncaring, hurtful manner.  Only
in America.  Thankfully.

I agree with the majority here.  They are
insulting and cruel people.

Go to Dictionary.com and you will see
fanatic is not even listed under fan, and
the definition for fanatic is quite
disturbing to use ti describe your
customers.

I too hope they go out of business.  Why
reward deliberate cruelty?

It's incredible ... I was just on the phone
with customer service and they said they
didn't care if they insulted anyone.

United States of Arrogance.

Well done X10.  You're an example of petty
management and hateful marketing.

The ignorance and stupidity comes fight
from the desk of Alex Peder - supposedly
the president.

No wonder all the employees are so
thoughtless and cruel.

Leading by poor example.
