TM751: "Dead" outlet

Recently acquired a TM751 for my RT504 (ebay), All my other modules work, However there's one outlet near my room door that the TM751 cannot seem to operate any module on. There is an X10 Wall switch module downstream from that outlet that the TM751 can reach just fine. My older BSR  bedside controller can control modules in this outlet.

On the flipside, plugging the TM751 into said outlet prevents me from operating a nearby lamp module. The room is on the same circuit, so phase seperation isn't an issue. Has anyone else on this forum ever come across this situation? All other outlets/modules in my room respond just fine. And modules plugged into the "dead" outlet can be operated with the BSR control center.

EDIT: If I move the TM751 to an outlet near my desk, I can operate the dead socket, but then I lose range with my remote.

Possibly a signal sucker (Computer, UPS, TV, etc) nearby. Rather than me do a really bad job trying to summarize all the previous forum discussions, do a search here for filters, signal suckers & blockers.

PS.  It happens to almost everyone sooner are later. I'm about to order several filters for my house.
BVC let's me tell my camera where to go!
:) Murphy is my beta testing pal. He helps me find problems whether I like it or not. :)

One of the comman wiring problems/dangers that's offten overlooked is loose wires at and outlet or switch. I am not saying that is YOUR problem, but if it was my outlet.... I would check it out.
