Vanguard and intenet access help
« on: July 19, 2007, 01:44:08 PM »

I tried installing the Vanguard software on a WIndows XP Pro SP2 machine and the initial install failed (forget what the error was right now).  Anyway, I managed to get it to work on the PC that has the adapter hooked up to it.

I am unable to get the web access to work from that same PC.  I downloaded/installed the ActiveX control.  However, upon launch it gives me an error about XVIDN.DLL and craps out.

I also cannot get to access the cameras from my office XP machine.  I get the prompt for installing the ActiveX control but nothing happens after that.  If I refresh the screen or just go back into the gate.x10.com site I get the same prompt to install the ActiveX control.
It's not a proxy or firewall issue because I cannot even get the initial screen to load.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Took me a while as I use Firefox.  Try IE 7.0
