AHP timer does not send light off command.
« on: August 13, 2007, 08:16:16 AM »

Hello:

I just started using the AHP software and the CM15A device.  Everything works fine from the software on the PC.  However, the timers are not very accurate.  I can see the light on command at the time I specified, well a few minutes later than specified.  However the light off command never gets sent.  I have been watching the activity monitor but I never see this command unless I manually issue it from the software on the PC myself.  Is there some amount of flakiness to the CM15A?

I don't think is is line noise otherwise I would not be able to do it manually either.

Are there any updates, re-inits, or things to try?

I have the light switch on A1 it is the only thing that I have X10 wise on my house.

Thanks,
Marvin

Welcome to the boards mn3. After you have created your macros and or timers did you upload them to the CM15A? To do this in AHP select "TOOLS" then "DOWNLOAD TIMERS AND MACROS"

How are you doing this?   Some very basic questions...

Did you create a macro that has both an 'on' command, a delay,  and an 'off' command, then setup a timer to trigger it?

Or did you created a timer directly for the module?  If directly, did you specify an 'off' time?

BTW, since these commands are originating from the CM15A, the Activity Monitor will always show them regardless of noise or other interference.  If the Activity Monitor isn't showing the 'off' commands, then they aren't being programmed for some reason.

I've had similar problems, but my issue sending on command with timer to wall switch units WS467. I'm going to post my own thread because mine is really a head scratcher. I'm pretty sure I've found a bug.
