I read a number of posts but they were related to wireless commands I am having issues right at the switch. Anyway I was replacing a normal switch that turns on my whole house fan with a XPS3 switch. I have used these before and gotten lots of help with the wiring so I am very confident it is right.
Once wired up I turned the breaker back on and hit the switch and the fan turned on, then he problems started when I tried to hit the switch again the fan would not turn off. I then tried another XPS3 and again same result. Then to turn the fan off I put the timer back to 0 and accidently hit the XPS3 an guess what it worked. After some reading and troubleshooting here is the situation
- When the connection between the fan and the switch is unconnected (I pulled out the timer) the switch works completely both manually and via wireless remote.
- When the timer is in but set to 0 the switch works manually but will not work via wireless remote
- When the timer is in and above 0 the switch will not respond to wireless commands but does turns on manually then will not turn off.
Is the problem line noise from the fan?
