Video recording with Vanguard
« on: November 16, 2007, 04:31:31 PM »

When recording video  it makes a 5 minute movie then another 5 minute movie, etc, etc.  Is there any way to change this?  Having 12 separate movies every hour is not my idea of a good way to record video!

That's about the best you can get is 5 minute videos.  There are several discussions about this on the forum.  It's my experience that the only way you can change the amount of time the video records is under Tools, Preferences, Video Settings, Frame Rate.   The lower the number the longer the video and the more "herky-jerky" the recording.  Higher number the smoother the movement, but less recording time.  I've experimented with different settings like the Disk Space Threshold under General Video as well as changing the Quality under Compression Options.  But, the best recording time I can get now is about 5- 5 1/2 minutes.

"Tools, Preferences, Video Settings, Frame Rate."

The above menu structure doesn't exist in Vanguard... I bet it does in ActiveHome Pro, but this post was in the VICC forum so I think Don might be misleading jstoufer about the how-to.
