Confusing Web Site
« on: December 04, 2007, 03:57:24 PM »

Hi, I am a new to this forum but was wondering if anyone could tell me of a more simpler way to engineer a system by just ordering specific parts of the X10 inventory. What I am looking for is a link to the X10 web site that would display all their items for sale by category, name, or even part number. Then I could simply engineer a system I want, pick out the parts and order them. It would be cool if X10 would also extend discounts like they do on their package deals for us that custom design a system of our own.

For example, I am looking for low light wireless, wide angle view cameras transmitting both audio and video. I  would like to add PC/Xray control, maybe some robots and a few other things.

Any thoughts out there?

thanks in advance,

Bud

Hi Bud, If you go to the home screen on the  x10 site (http://x10.com/homepage.htm) you can select "catalog" and the area of interest.
My experience is that buying individual items will end up costing a lot more than buying the packages. Even if you get a few duplicate items combining them
to get what you want, you will be further ahead. Don't be overly worried by Havesome's comments as he has been having some bad hair days of late.

I agree.

I've been using X10 stuff since before there was an internet and I think the web site is ridiculous.

The web site is the reason why I don't buy from X10.com if I can possiblly avoid it.

There are several other web sites where X10 equipment can be purchased that are much easier to use.
