I want to install, in a lockbox that can be opened with a digital keypad combination, the Arm/Disarm remote control (with time delay), just inside the building entry door.
The x10 SH624 remote is too large to fit a standard key lockbox.  Suggestions, please, re where to find a larger lockbox; or, any ideas re installing the remote in a secure place/container just inside a building entry door.

A very nice X10 Company modification to the keypad remote would be the addition of a switch that would allow the keypad remote to function either with, or without, a time delay to arm/disarm the system console.  (The keypad remote (KR10A) would easily fit inside a standard key lockbox.)

Do you have a Harbor Freight Tools nearby?  They sell something that might work, here's the link to the item description on their web page.

40 bucks and room to spare, I think. You might want to conceal the box with something else in order to add yet another later of protection.

Thanks.  There is a Harbor Freight nearby ... Finding nothing smaller, the HF box would work!

10 bucks comes with two holes and drywall screws/plugs and its just small enough.  This is what im using, i just lock it up when im leaving and use two velcro sticky's to keep the controller held in place.

I'd spend the extra $22 for the more secure one.

You didn't say but is it just you or will others be needing to access the box? - If it's just you using it, the cheap box could be fine. The $11 option has a lock that requires a key. This means issuing and dealing with lost keys if there are others using it. Also while it maybe fine for the indoor location in your application, I believe this key lock could be easily compromised. The $33 option most likely gives you a way to set and change combinations if an employee should leave.
