Energy Saver bulbs
« on: February 04, 2008, 02:02:09 PM »

Here in the UK we have a lot of enery saver bulbs, and if the government get there way that is all we will have soon....

So what X10 equipment to i use to control them ?

Have seen some reports that there are switches out there, but the reports appear to be conflicting.......

Any help is great..

If you can find the dimable bulbs you'll have no problem if not any non dimming switch will work! ;)

Does that then mean that any dimmable wall switch such as the WS12A's can control a dimmable CF bulb?

Probably will depend on the fixture!
I can only repeat what others have allready stated, if in doubt contact the manufacture of the switch! ;)
As well  it is Best to read the recomended placement on the CFL package! ;)

Te WS12 steals power through the load. I doubt it will work with dimmable or non dimmable CF bulbs.
The WS13 is a relay type and be used with them. They also need a Neutral power wire to work.
