Dell Laptop - XP Power Scheme auto-reverts to Default???

I Googled, but am not having much luck.  I don't know why, or even when, but my Dell Latitude laptop (dedicated to only AHP) sometimes reverts its Power Scheme to defaults.  It doesn't load a different scheme - but it changes the settings - causing it to go into standby.  When that happens AHP stops running  - as do all PC-based macros.
(It's plugged in - never on battery)

Has anyone seen this & how did you fix it?

Its a stupid question but here it goes, did you save the power scheme.

Fair question - sometimes the obvious is overlooked, but yes, I've saved it.

There isn't a Hardware Power Down or Suspend Mode in the Dell's BIOS by chance? I don't have a Dell; but my Setup Area has a whole bunch of power settings. Like power down hard drive after a set number of minutes.

Did you save the new setup with a new name or over the default? I kind of remember;r on my XP Desktop; saving it as lets say "My Way" didn't take and I had to actually over write the default.

:)% Thanks for that information, as others [ME] may find an answer to one of their problems also.  >!
