Timer dates always returning to january 1
« on: July 09, 2008, 08:17:26 PM »

Hi
In ahp i'm not able to set dates (from...to) when i create a timer.
Date is always set to january 1st and i cannot modify it. I can choose dates in the appropriate boxes but they don't apply.
So I can't set a specific range of dates for timers.
This is the same with the Holiday in timer settings.
Is someone can help me or have a idea about this issue.
Thanks Michel

Hi Macam and welcome to the forums
Just a simple question how do you enter your dates?
1) use the calander
2) type it in

if you type it in be sure to use the 01/01 to 01/02 format if you do not use the "/" or calander it will not update properly. It appears you use the calander?
Also can you give us an idea of the steps you are using and what you are attempting to do with the macro?

Hi x10challenged
I tried both ways to enter dates and it does'nt apply.
Date format is 01-01 I cannot use "/"
When I select the date in start date and end date, these dates don't appear in the "command line" above, --> " START AT 8:44, JULY 12 TO JULY 24"
it always appear january 1... I don't know if it's a software problem.
Same thing with the configuration of holiday dates. I enter a name for the holiday and dates but ahp ignore these new data.
Also, dates in the calendar stop to 21, 22 to 31 do not appear. Bizarre....

I'm also wondering if it is possible to activate a macro this way: For example, when i go out one day, i activate a macro that will start at dusk or at a certain time.
I know macros can be activate with a timer already configured but is it possible on demand with a simple push of a button to start a timer that will activate a macro at dusk.

I hope you understand what i wrote, english is a second language for me...
Thanks Michel

This may be related to a bug that I noted with the latest version of the software.  What date format do you use with windows?  I suggest changing the default date format in windows to the US standard (in XP Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Customize>Date and set the short date format to dd/MM/yyyy and click apply.)  I could not use the newest version of the software when I had my date format set to yyyy-mm-dd.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks Paul
Date was set to Canada French with "-" between dates.
I changed it to Canada english and that solves my problem.

You're great, thanks again

hi

i have the same problem, but with the time, if i want to set 9:00 pm, AHP changes it to 9:00 am, so, using the information on this thread, i changed my windows's time to 24-hours format, now it seems everything is working correctly, if i found another problem, i will post it
