New Revision TM751 Findings.
« on: September 14, 2008, 04:11:10 PM »

I recently received, in one of the X10 packages, a recently manufactured TM751. Date Code 08D14 and it is completely different than the older ones.
New PCB; Surface Mounted Microcontroller IC and receiver daughter card now looks close to what is in the CM15A. Has the Himark RF Chip.

Distance tests show it is much better than the older ones.

With a HR12A Palm Pad in rough distance tests:
 #1 was the New TM751  DC:08D14
#2 was my old CM15A  DC:04J41 with external 14" home made antenna
 #3 was my RR501 DC:02F23
 #4 was my old TM751 DC:00D17
#5 was my old CM15A DC:04J44 stock plastic tube antenna.

Brian, maybe the new TM751 is now polite(?). Wouldn't that be nice.

Yes but not so  ???. I tried a power line signal and it did not toggle. Only an RF one on the House Code and Unit one worked.

No, I meant it would not transmit on top of other X10 codes. But I doubt X10 added that feature to the TM751, since it would be the same product as a RR501.
It is still is good news about the increased RF sensitivity!

Yes I know you meant polite as in not stepping on things. Since it does not seem to receive line signals I would say it can't be polite.

Yes of course,

I didn't pick up on your "power line toggle" statement in your answer. Sorry.

No problem. I never actually said it was not polite either.
