« on: October 08, 2008, 10:14:29 PM »

ok, so I have my location set, but it is coming on WAY too early, AND starting in November, it even goes as early as 4:46 PM, I am in Northern California, is there anyway to adjust this?

Thanks.

Did you download the changes to the CM15A?
That's the only thing I can think of that could be a problem if you have your location properly programed.

Are your system time and timezone settings correct in Windows?

Hi idbl_fanatic ,
sorry to hear no one has tried to help. How about more information on what type of units you have, module numbers and what are you using to trigger dawn to dusk, Sensor, Macro (I presume) ? Location stated are where, inside or outside? What is coming on too early, lights, cams or macro trigger? Its not November yet in my part of the world, are you seeing this in your CM15 setup AHP>Tools>Hardware Configuration? 4:46 pm is that right now or in November? I presume you are under PT zone then? let us know and hope for more responce and even help

This may sound a little strange, but did you set your location by coordinates or as a nearby city that was on the list?

I have it set up just under timers set for 3 socket rockets for my porch lights, yes I am seeing it under AHP>Tools>Hardware Configuration. My time zone is set correctly, my time and date is correct on the PC, I have downloaded the the changes to the CM15A. The 4:46 pm time was when I was looking through the table, and that was for the time frame of sometime in November. Right now they are coming on at 5:25 pm and off at 6:15 am, it's not even close to being dark at 5:25 pm yet. And starting on 10/31 it says it will start coming on at 4:57 pm

I have set the location by nearby city, which happens to have my city.

I just tried "custom" location, and no change.

What is your Dawn / Dusk Resolution setting?
Try setting it for every 8 days and tell us what happens.

It is at every 8 days right now. The latest that I can get it to go on, is if I get it to daily, and that is 5:30 pm

Shouldn't the Time Zone: GMT be at -8.00 and not -7.00.?
Did notice also, when unchecked your daylight saving under the computer clock settings, you should see the correct GMT set to -8.00 in your case, someone here should tell us why?
This may help. http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=8895.0

Well it seem as if your times are about an hour off from what they should be.
I assume the AHP clock matches the computer.

I'm beginning to think it has something to do with a DST setting but don't know why.

Just for the heck of it (I don't know why it would make a difference) try a custom entry of your coordinates.

Yes the AHP matches my system time

I have tried to put manual coordinates in as well, it don't change anything. But what was mentioned in the other thread that BaBaLou mentioned makes sense, AHP don't change from -7 to -8 for DST yet adjusts the timers, but that still don't tell me why they turn on SO early.

idbl_fanatic , RU triggering anything yet. If you have a module or macro setup, go the timer settings on that unit and observe the setting of the clocks if set to Dawn or Dusk automatically. If all fails you can always set the everyting on timers and add a delay or advance to the dawn and dusk settings in the timer.

PERFECT, let's see if that works, I delayed it for 60 mins.
