false dial out
« on: October 28, 2008, 06:21:25 PM »

I have had several calls alerting me that my alarm system has been activated but when I get home the system ( PS 561 ) is fine as the alarm trips when I open the door. I don't see how this is possible ! Wondering about neighbors alarm system ( ADP ) interfering somehow. Any help would be much appreciated !   chuck

The Protector Plus resets after 4 mins I believe ::) which will make it trigger and sound the alarm when you come home and don't disarm before you enter!
Disarm before you enter and check to see which sensor triggered the alarm ( it should be illuminated)! ;) You can then see why that sensor sent the trigger signal (poor contacts maybe  ??? )!
If you have AHP it will dispay which sensor triggered in the activity monitor and you can have it trigger a separate alert for you!
AHP must be configured to your unit so chances of a neighbours system activating your is slim!

...and when you get home after a tripped alarm, all of the lights set to the DS7000's H/C should be on.  When you enter, press only the disarm button - if you press Lights-OFF, the DS7000 resets and won't show you which zone caused the alarm.
