The new AHP DOES NOT SAVE &  DOWNLOAD macros and timers on EXIT the way it should, macros & timers will NOT execute
This plug-in does require a computer reboot
1.  Shutdown/rebooot computer, unplug C15A & clear memory.
2.  Use File>Save & Tools>Download Timers and Macros.
3.  And if adding/editing ANYTHING in AHP STOPS the macros from executing download them again from Tools>Download Timers and Macros

I have read similar reports from other users. I myself... find I sometimes need to completely take the CM15A off-line (and remove the batterys) to save minor changes. It seems as if the CM15A can over-look a small change.

I don't often make changes to my setup. But... I have read (once) of someone who would make AHP changes (at bedtime) to cover the next days schedule/plans. If your new to the AHP... you might find it easier to manage as time goes on.

Bought the C15A with AHP in the "Scratch and Dent Sale". Current software in a sale usually spells B-U-G. ( got it anyway to keep an eye on my birds and cat while I'm on vacation, anyway I love a good puzzle)

Been using X10 for 10+ years, and computers since the TRS80,
I don't think it's strictly in the C15A but, in how AHP communicates with it.

I've read in this forum that the unknown P16 signal is coming from AHP/C15A , if it is, then shouldn't the AHP/C15A be able to correctly identify itself as well as the other modules?
The P16 signal, I think is a result of the communications bug

Brian H

I believe the P16 is used by one of the X10 software packages to ID something and from what I remember is there on purpose.

Dan Lawrence

AHP sends a P16 code on startup.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Yeah... like Brian H and Dan Lawrence said (sorta) it's not a bug... it's a feature.

OK. AHP sends a P16 code on startup and is supposed too.
So what is the A6 code for?
I still get that one when I shutdown my computer, I did get A1, A5, A7, A15, and a H.
Is P16 the only code AHP sends?
Could AHP be sending incorrect codes upon computer startup/shutdown or saving/sending incorrect codes in macros?

JMac

I sometimes get a "mystery" house/unit code generated by AHP (?), and displayed on the X10 Code Usage-Historical page.  I can't explain why I get it but to eliminate the red square, I just assign a module to that position and place it in an Unassigned Module room.  As far as I know P16 is the only code AHP sends purposely.

So you just cover it up?
Why?

Are these "mystery" house/unit codes generated by AHP just a false readings on the X10 Code Usage page or is AHP reading it AS  Codes Used on/off?

These house/unit codes generated by AHP do not affect modules, but there is a problem with the macros.
The Macros work properly and then for no apparent reason do not work.
And this problem seems rather random

     Hypothesis:

AHP generating/sending random HC's within the macro program.

B3 ON generated by AHP, a macro with a condition of B3 OFF in it might not execute, or completely execute.

Working  Hypothesis:

AHP generating/sending random HC's within the macro program. Generating= input set to program defaults.

Program defaults.

Trigger: sequence X1, X2, X3.... with function default of ON. (OFF function ??? (A1 ON else A1 OFF))
Modules: function default of ON

Trigger with input error= program defaults to sequence
2nd module with input error= 1st module defaults to ON

Failed macro execution followed by usb comm error
program error ( duplicate camera)  followed by usb comm error

Video driver errors *note ( did not have any errors w/vanguard on same port)

11/27/08

Receive RF     A UNKNOWN (3::30:15 & 8:30:14 AM In activity monitor Not in historical )
AHP not responding- failed to connect to myhouse service
using usb 1.00

trying usb 2.00 *note (firecracker disabled w/option to setup on computer reboot (this option did NOT come up using usb 1.00)

AHP usb comm driver installation error = HC A6  is in historical usage(this was a repeatable error)
