Radio interference?
« on: December 11, 2008, 08:08:36 PM »

I live less than 1/2 mile from a 50,000 watt AM transmitter.  Is that part of why the CM15A controller and AM466 modules have so much trouble communicating?  If so, is there any reasonably easy fix?

Very unlikely. Your CM15A communcates with your AM466 over the homes powerlines. It is unlikely the AM frequencies would influence that. Besides, you said in your polling post that two of your AM466 worked all the time. If the AM station was the source of your problems ALL your modules would be haveing issues, not just two of them.

Again, you probably have phase coupling issues or noise problems

If you didn't like the first link I recommended in your "polling" posts then try this one.

It is far more likely you have a phase coupling issue and a simple test would be to take one of your AM466 modules that has reliability issues and swap it with one of two AM466 that you do not have proplems with. Does it now work?
