Vote for the User HA setup you like or shows potential!
« on: March 30, 2009, 12:33:57 PM »

Vote will run for 1 week.
I've allowed two votes each!
It is a shame user input was so low in this contest, I had hoped to make it on going with a new contest every so often!
Guess users would rather share there knowledge then info about there own personal setups! :(
anyways feel free to add comments here and please take the time to vote for one or two of the threads!
It looks like there may be a first, second and possible a third place prize as some users have either donated a prize or already have one or two of the prizes!
To everyone that took time to create a thread to showcase your setup, Thank you!
I've opened up the voting early as It looks like I may be out of town when entry submissions are due by!
Those that have posted early deserve a Jump on late entries
Note: zach1234's thread is not included as he is no longer a forum member
And mine has been excluded as well

My votes have been cast for Kramer Chins and Knightrider!

Kramer Chins because he has made the transition from newbie to expert in record time! Seems like just last week when he posted his first question, and now look at him!
Knightrider because... well, his setup is just sick. (And yes, Knightrider, your wife is a saint...)

After a couple PM's with Tuicemen and his approval I am willing to BUMP Up the prizes ( >*< seeing how X10 won't)

To make this a little better and maybe spark some more "NEWBIES" to post their Set Up's and maybe some other members to pitch in with prizes I'm throwing in:

2 LM15A- Socket Rockets

2 MS14A- Eagle Eye Motion Sensors

2 LM465- Lamp Modules

After the Winner has been decided and the Winner is Posted I will send a PM to the winner and get the information on where to send the prizes...........

There have been several who added their setups at the last minute.  It wouldn't be fair to count the votes until the entries have been locked in.  I know that some of the late posters have several idea's that I plan to steal er, "borrow".  I'm in favor of resetting the vote to give all of those who made the entry deadline at the last minute a fair shake.

The deadline was March 31, and I took an early lead before the end of said date.

To those of you that did enter,  #:)  X10 is my sickness, and I enjoy learning of new ways to feed my fetish.

Since Tuicemen left me in charge of this poll while he is away, and since all those involved seem to agree that the deadline was the end of the 31st, I have added Savage223 and Dan Lawrence to the poll.

In the interest of fairness, I have also modified the poll to allow anyone who chooses to do so to change their votes.

That way, no one loses their standing unless someone who voted for them changes their mind, and anyone who wants to can change their mind and vote for one of the newcomers.

I will let Tuicemen decide when he gets back if he would agree to extending the time limit for voting.  A week is actually a very short time for those that don't "live here" like some of us do!    :'   rofl

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!

As for time the poll should run I'm open to suggestions!
I've set the time left to vote to 10 days so anyone wishing to change there vote may do so and anyone that was out of town (like me) still has time to vote!
I reset the votes as well so everyone must resubmit!

Just before I went out of town I was in contact with X10Bobby who stated:

I am out sick today, but sure - an icon remote would be a great prize, and I will be able to get one to put up for the contest.
Since he hasn't posted I can only assume he is still under the weather!
I think he was referring to the new RF capable Icon remote! ::) :'

The reason I reset everyones vote count to zero was due to the two lead entries requesting such!
I left it so everyone can change their votes up until the end of the polling this way if someone adds to their thread it may persuade users to switch there vote!
Also I'll increase the length of the polling so it ends at the end of the month giving users plenty of time to participate in voting.

Keep the votes Coming People!
And don't be shy, ask questions about a particular setup that interests you!
Some times what is clear to the poster just seems like it is a vauge idea to the reader!

Congratulations Knightrider the contest winner!
 :)%  #:)
I'm sure you'll find a good use for your prizes!

I'll try to come up with another contest, posibly for the summer months.
If any users have any Ideas I'd love to hear about them!
Perhaps it will be based on user setups again! ::) :' Although I'm very surprised so few users took the time to start a thread! :(
