The Powerflash is great when you have a place to plug it in, it would be great to have a version of the Power Flash that transmitted X-10 codes on RF the user set. I modified a MS12A to do just that but this is not something the average Joe is going to do. This way just about anything with a switch or relay could trigger an X-10 event.

Amen, brother. A DS10a that transmits a standard X10 HC/UC instead of a security code. It would be great for doors leading to basements, closets, garages, sheds, etc.  "Open the door, and the light goes on!"  (Anyone else remember that commercial starring the Chicago Bears' William (The Refrigerator) Perry?

Yes I remember the commercial. 

I was thinking on the same lines. A module similar to the Door/Window sensor only does standard X10 signals.

Oh, come on!  That commercial wasn't that long ago.  Even a young pup like me remembers it.

well there is one other solution that will do EXACTLY what you want. Can't remember the exact model number but if you get a v572rf32? you can then register either 16 or 32 ds10a's (can't remember the exact number) so that when the DS10a contact is open, the v572rf32 will receive the signal from the ds10A and then convert it to a powerline signal that you assigned to that ds10a.

Knightrider, did that same kind of mod on a ms14.  Cut the dusk sensor off, and attached 2 wires to the leads.  Then ran the wires to a magnetic reed door switch.  You still have the function of the motion, and the door switch!
