I just received my DS7000 and have a question.  I have read the manual completely and there is no mention of the 1/8 inch socket on the right side of the security console.  What is it for and what does it do ???  It appears to not effect the normal operation of the system.

Thanks

That is for plugging in a little earpiece so you can check the playback of the message that will be played by the dialer when the alarm is tripped.

Thank you for the reply.  Is that the only time that there is anything on that jack?
