With the dizzying amount of options, I finding hard which best suits my needs. I'm just looking for a system in which to mount a video cam right in my front doorway which I will then be able to record the visitor/intruder when front door is approached. Thanx for any infos.

I myself like the flood cam, easy to install and the picture quality is great.

A camera, motion sensor (motion sensor is built-in on the floodcam), VCR commander (they work with DVD recorders as well) and a TM751 transceiver. Wireless camera also require the video receiver. X10 cameras require light (even the nightcams) so if you don't chose the floodcam a SocketRocket or light switch for your porch light would be handy.
