ok so i figured out how to let the computer now someone is at the door before they are at the door or at the door depending what type of configuration you choice. so do you wana know how I did it!!!!! ok lets go on..

ok you need one door window sensor. and a cheap weigh scale, attach the sensor to the dial and once you step on the scale the sensor will trigger " someone is near the front door" or " someone is coming up the walk way".  Ok so the hard part is putting the scale into something like a door mat or a fake stone. I was thinking of a wood slit door mat.

You could just buy one of these instead of the scale.

But, it is a novel use of a scale!  Heaven only knows I haven't seen mine in years.
