Using x10dispatcher with security sensors
« on: June 02, 2009, 11:48:09 AM »

I've been trying to get ahp to email when sensors are triggered, but I have NEVER been able to get it to work.  X10dispatcher emails just fine, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the sensors to plugin to x10dispatcher.  Do I have to create a macro for each sensor to give it a device code?  I have most of my sensors setup in AHP as modules.

X10dispatcher currently doesn't see security modules.
As a work around you could have your security modules trigger a phantom (dummy) modulevia a macro in AHP which dispatcher would see and respond with a email send. ;)
Your not alone with your issue of AHP not sending emails many have work arounds such as the above set up! ;)

I appreciate the quick reply.  That's kind of where I thought I would have to go, dummy module, macro, etc...  Just curious, what are some other ideas folks have had to remedy this?  Not to rag too long, but you have to love an app that says it can do something only to find out, nope, just kidding, can't do it and the complete lack of support for anything.   >*<
