... Dave, I never use the off function of the motion sensors. I use the motion sensors to trigger macros.......I also use the VCR commander which is triggered by a motion sensor.
Both are excellent examples

no need to disable the off function. Ether your macro handles the off function.. or the VCR Commander does.
I have a motion sensor I use with
BVC to get a Voice alert. I only use the ON function for that also. I use the sensor as a way to help me keep an eye on things like [sharp] tools in garage when grandkids are over. The sensor sends an ON signal.. which through the CM15A... is heard by the
BVC software.
BVC then speaks in a realistic human-like voice saying something like: "
motion detected in the garage". In this case... the Eye Sensor itself... resets to off so it can send a new on a minute later.
It may very well be the OP has found a need for a repeating ON... with a disabled OFF. I guess what interests me is maybe...
if I knew what that need is..... I might need it too. I am always looking for new Home Automation uses.
