My X10 WS467 modules turn on when we wash clothes.  The washer is a Kenmore Elite with a pc board right near the powercord so I believe the signals are going down the powerline and triggering the X10 control module.  Is there a 20A line filter available that I can put on the washer.  Alternatively, could I program the WS467 modules so that it takes two ON signals to turn on the lights rather than just one signal.

The WS467 can not be programed to need two on commands to activate.
Are you sure it has to be twenty amps? A twenty amp power plug has one vertical and one horizontal pin along with the ground.
Act makes a plug in AF120 that is 15 amps.
They do make twenty amp ones that are hard wired in. The X10Pro XPF.

Curious:

1. Does the light turn ON when the washer starts agitation or spin? i.e. do any "regular" lights flicker or dim at the same moment the WS467(s) comes on?

2. Multiple WS 467s do this?

3. Are they on same HCUC?

4. How old are the modules?

The washer is actually rated at 12A so a 15A filter would work.  Do you have a part number and website where I could order one?

The washer turns on two different modules that are addressed A1 and A2.  I have tried different addresses and they will always turn on.  I believe they are triggered at the end or near the end of the wash cycle.  I know the signal from the washer is being conducted on the powerline.  My X10 modules are in a separate building from my house, about 200 feet away from the washer but the power is all the same (that is, fed from the house).

My X10 components are several years old now.  I'd guess about three years old.

I found the ACT AF120 on Smarthomeusa.com and ordered one.  It sounds like this is just what I need.

Keep us informed on the filters results.
The ACT AF120 has one nice feature. An external replaceable fuse. The Smarthome five and ten Amp FilterLincs also have a fuse but it is internal and soldered in.

Thanks. That information puts to bed my thought that it might be momentary sag in line voltage causing modules to turn on. Old mid 1980's modules had this problem.

I have not yet received the AF120 but I did a little more troubleshooting inside the Kenmore washer.  The linecord comes into the washer and goes directly to a line filter.  Unfortunately, the line filter that Kenmore selected has both the input and output wiring on the same end of the filter.  This allows the line filter to be "short-circuited" by the noise it is trying to filter out.  In other words, the filtered lines and unfiltered lines are so close that the noise couples from input to output thereby bypassing the filter.  I added a ferrite to the input lines of the filter.  The ferrite was snapped around the phase, neutral, and ground lines right at the line filter.  I moved the output phase and neutral wires as far away from the input wires as was possible.  This appears to have solved the problem.  We have washed at least 6 loads of clothes and the X10 lights have not come on.  Previously, the lights would come on every time we washed a load of clothes.  I'll keep the AF120 filter for the next appliance that causes problems.

I have used ferrites myself on some of the machines at work.
