Hi all,

I am using the LM14A light module and I am running a macro that sets the light to 20% as a kind of night light if its after 11pm at night. However, the next day after that macro has been running my light module is remembering the 20% brightness setting and causing me to have to keep setting it back to 100% again.

How can I get around this?

Many thanks in advance!

Trevor.

It is a feature in the newer X10 Lamp Modules and your old 2-way LM14A. With "Resume Dim", the module comes back ON at the same level it was when turned OFF.  The work around is to use AHP to send it extended codes, or have AHP brighten the light before sending an OFF command. The older Lamp Modules do not have the feature and always come ON at 100%.

How do I send "extended codes" as you mentioned?

Maybe I'm just not seeing it but when I create a new macro I can't see an "Extended Codes" box anywhere to drag into the macro timeline...

While in the Macro Designer window, select Advanced Functions in the scroll down menu on the far right side of the window.  Then drag the Extended Code box into the Macro.

Here is a little notepad of the codes to send. I use it when I edit macros open in another window.

also you might want to check the resume dim setting and change it back to 100% on off and  the extended code commands should leave it be.
