I've jumped into x10 in the last year and been happily adding features and uses to the system. It is actually pretty enjoyable deciding what you want to accomplish with automation and then figuring out how to do it and fixing bugs (mostly my errors up until now, maybe). After setting up a new dedicated PC with the CM15A, I have plans to keep working on the house's 'brain' and tweak my lighting automation, security, and cam systems into a really reliable system.

Anyway, after several months of success, I'm stumped on a new problem that just came up (and found no answer yet in the forums)...
Everything was fine until the other day when the whole works kinda stopped for some reasons I know and some I don't. I was working on a some new ('coming home'-type) conditional macros to turn on lights based on various triggers (DS10 on a detached garage side-door, motion sensor on an x10 floodlight) when the house was dark (no x10 lights on, ). An ill-planned macro created a loop that continuously sent an on signal because I tried to use the CM15A as a repeater for better reliability. I stopped it after I unplugged my RR501-type transceiver and stopped the macro in Active home. Soon after, and not even necessarily related, Active home lost communication with the CM15A and I ended up doing a 'battery-remove' reset and restarting the PC and Active home software. At some point I also clicked the 'auto' option in hardware configuration transceived codes area.
Now the cm15a wouldn't send a PLC command after receiving a RF signal from any of our palm-pads, slimline switch, or entertainment remotes.

so.. I then reset the cm15a again and restarted computer and active home, then went back to hardware config, and set specific transceived codes and checked the 5 or or so codes I'm using. Now when my RR501 is hooked up the palmpads work, but the entertainment remotes don't work (really strange)... When the RR501 is removed, with only the CM15A is hooked up at the same outlet, it reports receiving RF commands but nothing happens at the controlled lights (I also know that it is not sending a PLC signal because I have a third party PLC amp, an XTB from JV Digital Engineering that lights up when it is active, it used to light up with the cm15a, now it does nothing even as the activity log lists received RF signals. The XTB does light up when the RR501 is plugged into it and sends a PLC command).

Okay, so I have deducted (correctly or not?), that:
Problem #1 is:
CM15A will not transceive, even when specific codes are selected in hardware settings.

Problem #2 (Related or not) is:
Entertainment remotes no longer work as x10 remotes (2 different units, they were working before).

Can we figure them out?

Regards,
Tim

Tim,
I don't use AHP and only use the CM15A as an "all house code" transceiver, but, when you reset the CM15A (remove batteries, hold above head, dance in circle, etc) did you have the CM15A disconnected from the computer when you unplugged from wall and pulled batteries?

Can you control any modules directly through AHP and does the LED flash on the XTB with direct commands from the CM15A?
If the CM15A will not send direct commands the constant signal sending may have damaged the CM15As power line transmitter and there is no signal on the power line.
