Transmit what???
« on: September 29, 2010, 01:14:45 PM »

I thought I'd try this route.
When I watch the activity monitor as I run the macro to arm my DS7000 it comes up as Transmit RF A Pause   A Unknown.
What does that mean?
Keep in mind that the remote being emulated for this macro is installed in AHP and the DS7000.
Any clues?

It would make sense... that the remote registered with the Alarm and the computer, being the same remote would now be recognized when the computer signals the alarm. But it doesn't work that way here with my setup, ether.

But now... if you register you computers signal with the alarm [as a 2nd remote] it should work.

See that's my problem Dave. I can't get my DS7000 to register the signal from AHP. I put the DS7000 in Install Mode and run the macro in an attempt to get the DS7000 to register the AHP signal's version of the remote, but it doesn't ding.

Not sure if you looked at the wiki information for On_Alert.

Brian H is correct (of course) the wiki has info (a direct link) here:  http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/Creating_an_Arm_Macro

Although... we shouldn't overlook the possibility that the alarms console is just out of range of the AHP RF. Or the RF could be blocked by a large metal object.

For the pupose of troubleshooting I have had my alarm (DS7000) right next to the AHP unit.

The new version of AHP, v3.296, seems to have fixed this issue.
