I guess the first thing would be to ask. Where the items New or Certified like new? Some have indicated that instructions where not always in the Certified devices packaging.
Also may give you some insight on the forums. It is a user to user forum where we assist each other. X10 doesn't monitor messages here on a regular basis.
1) The antenna wire on the CM19A is just a piece of wire. It may look like it was snipped off at the end. If it is about 6" long, it is OK.
2+4) Check the channel selector switches on the camera and receiver. Verify they are on the same A to D setting. Maybe try a different channel as some 2.4Ghz devices in your home may interferer with them.
Did your purchase include any software and what did you get if it had software in the package?
Could you post some of the model numbers of the items you received?
The motion sensor sends an on and off RF signal on the address it is set to. Default is A1. An X10 transceiver could receive the A1 on and off signal to control a module on the power line set to A1. It also has a dusk dawn sensor that is one unit code above the motion address. So default is A2. At dusk an A2 on would be sent and at dawn an A2 off would be sent. If your kit has the CM19A in it you also got a TM751 Tranceiver. Both the TM751 and CM19A can receive the RF from the MS14A. The CM19A can send RF commands to the TM751 to control power line devices.
You can find added information on the devices in the X10 wiki and customer service areas.
Along with all the seasoned users here walking you through the process. Please fell free to ask as needed.
